❄️ The Most Complete Guide to Chasing the Northern Lights in Alaska|Must Read!! 1️⃣ We booked a local Chinese-speaking guide and did a private 4-person tour for a week. Landed in Anchorage, spent a day there, then drove to Fairbanks. We skipped glacier hiking because it seemed tiring, and the helicopter tour was way more!🚁 Helicopter company: Alaska Glacier Lodge. The pilot randomly picks 2–3 safe spots to land for photos 📸. 2️⃣ December–March is peak season for aurora chasing, but there’s no guarantee you’ll see them. The guide will take you to different spots based on daily weather. Phones make the aurora look much greener than what you see with the naked eye, so keep expectations realistic 🌌. 3️⃣ Hot springs and snowmobiling are at the same place: Chena Hot Spring Resorts. Remember to book in advance ♨️🏍️. 4️⃣ Dog sledding and reindeer walks are also at the same spot: Chena Outdoor Collective - Reindeer & Sled Dogs 🛷🦌. 5️⃣ For ice fishing, book with a local guide—they set up tents and drill holes inside. Even first-timers usually catch one or two fish 🎣. 6️⃣ We stayed at a built by Aurora Villa, with seven rooms total—very photogenic 📷. Recommend choosing a twin room for more space. 7️⃣ The Arctic Circle day trip took our guide 10 hours round-trip driving to reach the area. Passed through the “Devil’s Forest” along the way—scenery was stunning 🏔️. 8️⃣ It’s better to hire a guide/driver in winter to avoid unexpected risks in extreme weather ⚠️. #Alaska#NorthernLightsJourney#Fairbanks#AlaskaTravelGuide#NorthAmericaTravel#WinterTravelDestination#StudentTravel#USA
