🏔️ Vancouver Squamish Joffre Lake Guide

1️⃣ 2 days before your visit: Grab your day pass. I recommend being ready on the website at 6:55 AM and hitting "refresh" right at 7:00 AM. It’s easier to get than the Maui Haleakalā sunrise pass! ⏰🖥️ 2️⃣ This hike is actually quite easy if you can handle a bit of uphill. If you’re not in great shape, it might not be for you. My teammates and I exercise regularly, so we found this hike to be very manageable. It took us about 2 hours at a moderate pace. 🏞️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ 3️⃣ If you’re visiting Joffre Lakes, it’s a good idea to stay in Squamish for 1-2 nights. There are many beautiful hikes nearby, and if you’re up for it, you could tackle a mountain every day! 🏔️🌲 4️⃣ It’s best to have meals in Whistler. Squamish has some questionable dining options. Avoid Flipside Burger—no flavor and the bread was cold. 🍔❌ 5️⃣ The popular Alice Brohmer ice cream isn’t a must-try. It’s not as impressive compared to Ernest Ice Cream or Rain or Shine. 🍦🤷‍♀️ 6️⃣ There aren’t many bugs, so bug repellent isn’t essential. 🦟🚫 7️⃣ Bring plenty of water. We carried 2.5 liters between the two of us, which was a bit much, but it’s better to have extra than not enough. 💧🚰 8️⃣ Wear hiking shoes! For clothing, a short-sleeve shirt and a hard shell jacket are sufficient in late June and early July. You’ll need a jacket when you stop at Lakes 2 and 3, but it’s very hot while walking—short sleeves are fine. Why a hard shell? Because the weather can be unpredictable with wind and rain. 🥾🌧️🧥 #Vancouver #VancouverHiking #JoffreLakeGuide #Hiking #ScenicHikes #Canada #CanadaTravel #NorthAmericaTravel
