🏞️ Weekend Water Fun in Virginia — Bear Creek Lake 🚣‍♂️

This weekend, I visited Bear Creek Lake State Park 🌲💦, which is not far from Charlottesville and Richmond. The park features a sandy beach and a calm lake—no motorized boats allowed—making it perfect for swimming, boating, and paddle sports. 📍 Use Google Maps to navigate to “Bear Creek Lake Trail.” Just before arriving, you’ll pass a toll booth where you pay a $7 parking fee 🅿️. From there, simply follow the road straight to the beach—no need to keep following the GPS. ⛱️ Right next to the beach, you can rent boats 🚣, paddleboards 🏄, kayaks, and pedal boats—affordable and fun! The lake may not be huge, but it’s incredibly peaceful 🌿.
