π½οΈ What I Ate in Ithaca This Week π½οΈ
This edition is all about trusting recommendations β and it did not disappoint! π Tried some awesome spots suggested by fellow foodies in the comments. π PS: To those who asked for the contact of Chengdu Impressionβs owner β I replied but seems like the messages got swallowed by the system π₯². Please ping me again! πΉπ Taste of Thai Spicy Basil (Pork) + Yellow Curry (Beef) - $39.6 Iβm officially OBSESSED with the Spicy Basil Pork πΏπ β probably the most pleasantly surprising dish Iβve had in Ithaca! The wok hei (breath of the wok) was unreal β perfectly balanced fat-to-lean ratio, dry aroma from the lean meat, and juicy without being oily. Paired with warm rice and a sip of icy milk tea β pure bliss πβοΈ. The yellow curry was coconutty π₯₯ but a bit sweet, and the beef was slightly dry. π§ Dream Tea βDuck Shitβ Oolong Milk Tea - $6.75 This is the milk tea that appeared in the Thai meal above β a bit pricey but totally worth it. My highest compliment: it tastes just like milk tea back in China π«π. Smooth, aromatic, not too sharp, with chewy boba β a must-try! π± Fusia Asian Cuisine 3-Item Lunch Combo: Potato Ribs + Mushroom Chicken + Cabbage - $14.85 Found my new canteen! The potato ribs are a classic American-Chinese dish β crispy, sweet and sour ππ―. Definitely love it, though some might call it βdark cuisineβ π. Mushroom chicken and cabbage were solid. Braised Beef Brisket Rice - $14.85 Good, but didnβt blow me away. The sauce was starch-thickened πββοΈ, but the beef was tender and chunky β especially loved the tendon parts. π Ninja Chicken Original Burger + Fries + Honey Milk Tea - $17.77 Tasted just like a classic Chinese street-style burger β simple but soul-satisfying π₯Ήπ! The fries were thick and soft (mightβve lost crispiness from takeout). The burger looked small but was super filling β thin soft bun, crispy KFC-style but lighter coating, and JUICY chicken inside with a hint of Sichuan pepper πΆοΈπ. And that Honey Milk Tea β 30% sugar is the way to go! Not too sweet, balanced tea flavor, with homemade-style boba. Better than Utea β I said it! π§π₯ Let me know what I should try next! ππ₯’ #Cornell #IthacaEats #FoodieRecommendations #InternationalEats #WhatToEatInIthaca
