đŸ›ïž What souvenirs did I buy in the Maldives?

Just got back from the Maldives, let me show you the little things I picked up! ❶ The most worthwhile buy is definitely the Manta necklace! Oevaali Art Shop is widely recognized as the most beautiful crafts store in the Maldives. They have tons of necklaces, rings, bracelets, etc. The little turtle ones are cute too, but I went for the most popular Manta. There are many colors, but this green is the most unique—after all, it’s the same color as the Maldivian sea ❀ The craftsmanship is really better than the souvenir shops on local islands. The green part shimmers like flowing ocean under the sun. They say it won’t fade even if it gets wet with seawater 💧 Transport tips: Take a taxi directly from Male Airport, show the shop name to the driver—he’ll navigate himself. It’s about 15 minutes, depending on traffic. Always agree on the fare first; $5-8 is reasonable. Or take the public ferry from the airport to Male city center ($1 per person). After getting off, walk 10+ minutes with navigation. But ferries have schedules—if you’re dragging big luggage, better take a taxi 🚕 ❷ Maldivian chocolate Chocolates made in the Maldives are available in local island supermarkets, with lots of pretty designs đŸ« I bought them as gifts, so haven’t tasted them. Definitely buy on local islands—airport prices are double! ❞ Fridge magnets Colorful whale shark, manta, and ray magnets I got on a local island—quite exquisite 🧊 Bargain on the price! I bought over a dozen, averaging around $2.5 each. If they won’t budge, just go to another shop—there are tons of these small stores on local islands! The wooden fish magnet is from the airport’s biggest souvenir shop. They have many cute wooden items—worth taking time to pick. âč Seashells Also from the airport souvenir shop, $5 is reasonable 🐚 Local islands have them too, but I missed out then. The carved dolphin is cute—nice to display at home as a Maldivian memory. âș Roll-on perfume At the airport duty-free, near the food area. Sisters, buy it—it smells amazing! The rose scent in the samples was nice too, but it was out of stock. I only got this one. The shop is called Authentic Maldives. They had a beautiful hanging ornament I saw in other girls’ posts, but it was sold out when I went—grab it if you see it 🌾 #MaldivesSouvenirs #UniqueGifts #MaldivesShopping #IslandSouvenirs #MaleAirportTips #HappyLittleThings
