Here’s my no-filter take on 18 food spots across the island: 🍜 Ramen Bario 🍜 Noodles were chewy, broth was not salty but kinda greasy. 😤 A $5 soft-boiled egg?! Seriously?! 👎 Verdict: Meh, won’t return. 🍣 Zigu 🍜 Soba noodles – delicious and refreshing! 🐟 Tuna tataki – just okay. ✅ Verdict: Would come back for the soba! 🐟 Maguro Brothers 🍚 Rice was overly sticky, fish didn’t taste that fresh. 🤷 Verdict: Overhyped + overpriced. Bought it twice. 🐢 Turtle-shaped cream puff? Way too sweet — sugar overload! 🚫 🛒 Foodland Farms 🥑 Poke was too salty, avocado was underripe. 😓 Disappointing for the price. 🍧 Vintage Island Shaved Ice 🌈 Basically colorful sugar water 🧊 🍡 Only saving grace: the mochi was decent. 🥥 Halekulani Bakery 🍰 Coconut cake – soft, fragrant, a bit sweet. 🥐 Macadamia Croissant – ABSOLUTELY INSANE 🤯 Buttery, crunchy, unforgettable! 🍣 Sushi Sho 🎉 AMAZING omakase for just $40! 🤯 So good, I would’ve eaten here every day if I’d found it earlier. 🍠 Henry’s Place 🍈 Papaya was tasty, but $16 for a small cup? 😅 🍦 Ube ice cream was icy and overly sweet — the supermarket version is just as good (and cheaper!). 🐷 Ginza Bairin Tonkatsu 🍛 Tender, juicy, good service. 💸 But $46 for a set?
