Hereβs my no-filter take on 18 food spots across the island: π Ramen Bario π Noodles were chewy, broth was not salty but kinda greasy. π€ A $5 soft-boiled egg?! Seriously?! π Verdict: Meh, wonβt return. π£ Zigu π Soba noodles β delicious and refreshing! π Tuna tataki β just okay. β Verdict: Would come back for the soba! π Maguro Brothers π Rice was overly sticky, fish didnβt taste that fresh. π€· Verdict: Overhyped + overpriced. Bought it twice. π’ Turtle-shaped cream puff? Way too sweet β sugar overload! π« π Foodland Farms π₯ Poke was too salty, avocado was underripe. π Disappointing for the price. π§ Vintage Island Shaved Ice π Basically colorful sugar water π§ π‘ Only saving grace: the mochi was decent. π₯₯ Halekulani Bakery π° Coconut cake β soft, fragrant, a bit sweet. π₯ Macadamia Croissant β ABSOLUTELY INSANE π€― Buttery, crunchy, unforgettable! π£ Sushi Sho π AMAZING omakase for just $40! π€― So good, I wouldβve eaten here every day if Iβd found it earlier. π Henryβs Place π Papaya was tasty, but $16 for a small cup? π π¦ Ube ice cream was icy and overly sweet β the supermarket version is just as good (and cheaper!). π· Ginza Bairin Tonkatsu π Tender, juicy, good service. πΈ But $46 for a set? Portions are small β not the best value. π Final Thoughts: Not all hype is worth believing β but hidden gems like Sushi Sho, Halekulani Bakery, and Haleiwa No7 make the trip unforgettable!
