š½ļø Winnipeg Food Review | Aroma Bistro
š Location: Close to the clinic (convenient if you're in the area) š Cuisine: Mainly wontons (dumplings) & rice bowls ā decent but not outstanding š What We Tried: š„¢ Lala Tofu Not bad, but nothing special. Garlicky dipping sauce + Sichuan chili flakes (from Cuihong brand). š„¢ Lala Chicken Same frying style as the tofu ā okay, but forgettable. š„¢ Red Oil Wontons (Yunnan Style) Comes in small/large portions (small is enough for girls). Rating: 3/5 ā Not spicy/aromatic enough compared to Chengdu-style. Missing depth (needs more chili oil & sesame paste, IMO). Slight MSG aftertaste. ļæ½ š„¢ Kimchi Beef Rice Bowl Super filling (just bulgogi beef + kimchi + rice). Tastes like homemade ā nothing special. š¬ Final Verdict: "Meh. Not bad, not great." ā Edible if you're nearby & hungry. ā Not worth a special trip ā once was enough for me. Would I return? Probably not. There are better options in Winnipeg. #WinnipegEats #WinnipegFoodie #HonestReview #MehExperience #NotBadNotGreat
