🇦🇹 24 Hours in Vienna|A Day So Beautiful It Left Me Speechless
17 years later, I returned to Vienna—again for just 24 hours. 🚆 Even though our train was cancelled and the schedule got delayed, we were blessed with perfect weather. My bestie and I couldn’t stop saying: How can it be this gorgeous?! We stayed at a hotel on Herrengasse, right next to Café Central. ☕️ Started our city walk first thing in the morning: St. Stephen's Cathedral ➡️ Graben ➡️ St. Peter's Catholic Church ➡️ Parliament/City Hall ➡️ Hofburg Palace ➡️ Kunsthistorisches Museum ➡️ Vienna State Opera ➡️ Golden Hall Musikverein ➡️ Karlskirche ➡️ Belvedere Palace. With limited time, we didn’t get to see everything, but if you only visit one museum, make it the Kunsthistorisches Museum! — I was mesmerized from the moment I stepped in. 🎧 Highly recommend renting an audio guide in Chinese — 8€ for two. The exhibits are incredibly rich, and the museum is so huge you could easily spend half a day here. Don’t miss the café on the second floor! The best photo spot is actually on the third level — you can look down over the café or gaze up at the breathtaking dome. The exterior of St. Stephen's Cathedral is the most iconic. You can take an elevator up the tower, but I didn’t find the view particularly special. My personal favorites were the interiors of Karlskirche and St. Peter's Church — unbelievably lavish, truly jaw-dropping! ✨ If you have time, try catching an evening music performance at Karlskirche. I later saw videos from others — it looks like an unforgettable experience. All in all, in Vienna, you don’t really need a strict plan. Every corner holds a surprise. 🚶♀️ Let yourself wander loosely like the characters from Before Sunrise — just relax and enjoy the moment. #TravelGuide #Vienna #ViennaTravel #ArtAndArchitecture #ViewsOnTheRoad
