🇦🇹 Austria Day 1: Vienna

I’ve planned a 4-day, 3-night trip in Austria 🧳 — will share the full cost breakdown after the trip. This is more like a personal travel diary ✍️. Day 1 Arrived at Vienna Airport around noon. Took the train (ticket via ÖBB app or on-site) + transferred to U6 metro (bought ticket at station). 🚆 Train tips: Check schedule on ÖBB — trains have clear electronic displays. Some delays may occur, but overall easy to navigate. Ticket: €4.5. If taking multiple trains, consider a discount pass (check for detailed Austria transport guides — super helpful!). 🚇 Metro: Similar to systems in other countries. Line U6 single trip: €2.4. Be sure to pay attention to stops — announcements aren’t always clear! Reached the hotel by 2 PM, dropped my luggage, and started my solo city walk 🚶♀️! Vienna’s city center attractions are very concentrated. I saved all key spots in Google Maps in advance (many recommended via Xiaohongshu — also marked on Maps), planned a rough route, and began checking them off one by one. Here’s what I covered this afternoon: 🏛️ Vienna City Hall 👸 Sisi Monument 🏛 Austrian Parliament Building ☕ Café Central (long queue — didn’t go in) ⚫ Plague Column (very crowded) ⛪ St. Stephen's Cathedral (breathtaking — a classic European masterpiece) 🎼 Mozarthaus 🎭 Vienna State Opera 🗿 Mozart Monument 🏰 Hofburg Palace Walking between these spots allowed me to cover most of the city center. Since I’ve visited many European countries, the architecture didn’t feel entirely new — more like “been there, seen that” 😄. So I didn’t take too many photos. A few slightly farther spots I skipped due to tired feet 🦶 (reachable by transport if you have time): 🌉 Zollamtssteg (Green Bridge) 💿 Alt & Neu Record Store 🎨 Hundertwasserhaus 🛍 Mariahilfer Street Vienna has plenty of rest spots and cafés — perfect for slowing down, sipping an iced latte, and soaking up the sun ☀️. I originally planned to stop at a café on the way back, but ended up trying a Japanese restaurant for sashimi instead 🍣. Maybe later I’ll grab coffee and gelato — that’s a wrap for today’s solo trip! 🌍 #TravelTheWorld #TravelMemories #ClassicalArchitecture #SoloTravel #ViennaDiary
