🇦🇹 What I Ate in 2.5 Days in Vienna
Finally getting around to documenting my two and a half days in Vienna—now tied with Paris for my top European city! 🏙️❤️ Here’s my ranking (in order of preference): 1️⃣ Salm Bräu | The Famous Pork Knuckle 🍖 Before going: Let’s order one pork knuckle and some grilled ribs! After going: This pork knuckle is HUGE! 😅 Even two big-eater girls struggled to finish it—so filling but so delicious! Highly recommend! 2️⃣ Sausage Stand at Albertina Museum | Life-Changing Sausage 🌭 Tried the Bratwurst and thyme sausage—absolutely incredible! Crispy skin, juicy inside, and bursting with flavor. German speakers really know how to make sausages! 3️⃣ Grnd Restaurant | Schnitzel & Pancake Soup 🥘 Right next to the Golden Hall. Went after a concert at 10 PM, hungry and thirsty. Their homemade lemonade (especially ginger & lime 🍋) is refreshing and never disappoints. The pancake soup tasted like egg-wrapped wonton soup, and paired perfectly with the crispy Wiener Schnitzel. "Nostalgia is a small bottle of spicy soy sauce." 4️⃣ GOTA Coffee | “Europe’s Best Café” ☕🥕 A bit far from the city center, but totally worth it! They offer a wide range of coffee beans. The carrot cake was also delicious! The coffee pins were so cute that even though we were almost late for our train, we still spent 15 minutes choosing and each bought three! 😂 5️⃣ Café Sacher | The Legendary Café 🍰 A bit hard to rate… It’s an old-school Viennese café with long queues, but the Sachertorte was just okay—worth a try though. The apple strudel was pretty good! Pro tip: Two people can share one dessert and two drinks (unless you have a serious sweet tooth!). Also, the second floor has much better views and ambiance! P.S. Don’t miss the popular supermarket sandwiches—make sure they’re served warm! And just share one between two people (the staff can cut it for you!). Why do I say this? Because I enthusiastically bought three… only to find the bread too hard and the meat too salty. 😂 Better go enjoy three German sausages instead! 🌭❤️ #Vienna #TravelFood #Foodie #EuropeanEats #ViennaEats
