🇦🇺 3D2N Darwin & Kakadu Adventure Guide
✈️ Flight: QF114 SIN-DRW, arrived in Darwin past 1 AM—grabbed an Uber to the hotel for a quick sleep. Day 1️⃣: Exploring Darwin ☕ Started with coffee and a 2-hour city walk (Darwin is tiny!): 📍 Bicentennial Park 📍 NT Parliament House 📍 Darwin Waterfront 📍 Stokes Hill Wharf 🚗 Rented a 4WD Jeep (though didn’t really need it for Kakadu). ⚠️ Pro tip: ✔ Stock up on water, snacks & ready-to-eat meals—Kakadu has limited supplies. ✔ Download Google Maps offline—no signal in most of Kakadu! 🏨 Drove ~3hrs to Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel (the only int'l chain in Jabiru). ✔ Next to a gas station & supermarket—super convenient! ✔ Rooms are a bit dated but clean, and the on-site restaurant was surprisingly good! Day 2️⃣: Kakadu National Park Highlights 📌 Visitor Center: Bought park tickets + maps. Staff warned us Jim Jim Falls was closed—saved us a wasted trip! 🌟 Must-dos: ✔ Ubirr Rock Art – Stunning 20,000-year-old Indigenous paintings 8. ✔ Burrungkuy & Gunwarddehwardde Lookout – Epic panoramic views. ✔ Nawurlandja Lookout – Short hike, gorgeous scenery. 🚤 Yellow Water Cruise (16:30 Sunset Tour) – HIGHLIGHT! 🎫 AUD 130/pax (book via official site). ✔ Shuttle departs 16:10 from Cooinda Lodge. ✔ 2-hour cruise—saw crocs, buffalo, exotic birds & a breathtaking sunset 🌅. ✔ Stop by Warradjan Cultural Centre for Indigenous exhibits! Day 3️⃣: Wetland Visit & Flight Back 🌿 Morning: Quick trip to a wetland area + last-minute shopping at Coles (for Aussie snacks!). ✈️ QF113 DRW-SIN at 14:55 – Dropped off the rental car & flew home. Final Thoughts ✔ Perfect short getaway from Singapore (just 4.5hrs!). ✔ Kakadu felt like Africa—wild, remote & UNESCO-listed magic 6. #DarwinTravel #Australia #OffTheBeatenPath #KakaduNationalPark 🐊🌿
