✈️ Day 0: Arrival in Darwin QF114 SIN-DRW (Landed at 1AM) → Uber to hotel 💤 🌇 Day 1: Darwin City Walk + Road Trip Prep ☕ Morning: Coffee + 2-hour city stroll: 📍 Bicentennial Park 📍 NT Parliament House 📍 Waterfront Precinct 📍 Stokes Hill Wharf 🚙 Afternoon: Rented a 4WD (for Kakadu’s off-road trails—though we didn’t need it!). Heads up: Extra $0.33/km after 100km/day (classic Australia tax!). 🛒 Must-do: Stock up on water, snacks & cooked food—Kakadu has limited supplies! 🏨 Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel (Jabiru): ✔ Only int’l chain in Kakadu ✔ Next to gas station & supermarket ✔ "Surprisingly good" on-site restaurant! 🌄 Day 2: Kakadu National Park 🗺 Morning: Visitor Centre (got maps + learned Jim Jim Falls was closed—phew!). Highlights: 🖼️ Ubirr: Ancient rock art galleries 🌿 Burrungkuy + Gunwarrdehwarrde lookout 🌅 Nawurlandja lookout 🚤 Yellow Water Cruise (4:30PM): $130 AUD/pax (book online) Saw crocs, buffalo & birds 🐊🦜 Sunset views = magical! ✈️ Day 3: Wetland & Fly Home 🌾 Morning: Quick wetland visit + souvenir shopping at Coles 🚗 Drove back to Darwin Airport (returned rental car). 💡 Why Visit? 4.5-hour flight from Singapore = perfect long-weekend escape!
