🇦🇺 Australia Working Holiday Day 263 | Check-in Day 44

Today was a lucky day! 🍀 My angel landlord helped me carry my luggage downstairs when I was leaving my rental. The bus I originally planned to take wasn’t supposed to stop at the station, but the driver said he would—saving me a lot of walking! 😄 I got on the bus and had two seats all to myself. So comfy! 🤩 Arrived in Townsville around noon. The architecture here has such exotic vibes, but the streets were pretty empty—felt like a ghost town 🏙️👻. I spent the day wandering around the city. My only plan was to visit Castle Hill for the view… and it nearly wiped me out! 😵 The climb was no joke—constant slopes and about 1,700 steps. I almost gave up halfway, but I saw so many uncles and aunts hiking energetically… I thought, “I’m young—I can’t lose to them!” 🐢💪 So I pushed on at a turtle’s pace. And the persistence paid off! The view from the top was absolutely worth it—you can see the whole city of Townsville + the harbor 🌊🏙️. If you have a car, you can drive up. But if you’re like me and only have your two feet… maybe think twice about your fitness level 😂!
