🇦🇺 Blue Western Australia | Detailed 3D2N Perth City Guide
Escaping the summer heat in the Northern Hemisphere, I flew from Singapore to Perth for a long weekend in August—a perfect choice! ✈️ Flight: Took SQ225, arriving in Perth at 5 AM. 🚆 Airport Transfer: Hopped on the $5.20 airport train to Perth Station (just 20+ minutes, super convenient!). 🏨 Hotel: Stayed at Hilton DoubleTree by Elizabeth Quay (15-min walk from Perth Station). The free Blue CAT bus stops right downstairs—super handy! 🚌 Getting Around: Perth’s city center is compact—walking + free CAT buses are enough. For slightly farther trips, Uber is affordable. Day 1️⃣: City Walk & Iconic Spots 📍 Route: Perth Station → WA Art Gallery → Yagan Square → Hay Street → London Court → Stirling Gardens 🚗 Detour: Visited the blue beach hut from Jay Chou’s "Pink Ocean" MV! 📸 Bonus: A 10-min walk from the hut leads to UWA (Uni of WA)—the campus is stunning! 🌆 Evening: Took the $2.40 ferry from Elizabeth Quay (runs every 30 mins, 8-min ride) to catch the Perth skyline at sunset. Pro tip: Round-trip tickets are ~$3+ (I only realized after buying one-way—RIP $1 😭). The night view from the opposite shore is magical as the city lights up! Day 2️⃣: Wildlife & Shopping 🐨 Morning: Caversham Wildlife Park (opens at 9 AM). Koala Meet & Greet at 9:00-9:30 AM (or 11:30 AM-12:00 PM if you miss the first session). $35 extra to hold a koala—honestly not worth it since you can take free photos during the meet! 🦘 Other Highlights: Free kangaroo feeding (they’re super friendly and love pets!). Farm show & other animal activities (check schedule in Pic 12). 🛍️ Afternoon: Took an Uber to Claremont for lunch + shopping (mostly women’s fashion, though). For guys, Highs and Lows (a cool sneaker/streetwear boutique in the city) is a better option. If time allows, Kings Park is great for a stroll. 🍛 Dinner: Best meal of the trip—Rojiura Curry Samurai (Hokkaido-style soup curry = PERFECT for 15°C weather!). ☕ Coffee Spots (Must-Try Aussie Flat Whites!) Giant Coffee Parkside Coffee Stretch Coffee (Drank 2+ cups daily—no regrets!) #PerthTravelGuide #PerthTrip #WesternAustralia #CavershamWildlifePark #Perth
