🇦🇺 Brisbane & Gold Coast 4-Day Travel Guide
Transportation Get a Go Card (A$10 deposit) right after landing at Brisbane Airport—it works for both Brisbane and Gold Coast! The train from the airport to the city costs ~A$10. Day 1: Brisbane 🏙 📍 City Hall → Museum → Queen Street Mall → "Brisbane" Sign → Ferris Wheel Morning = City Walk! All these spots are super close—just a short stroll. 📍 University of Queensland (UQ) After lunch, took a bus to UQ and stumbled upon a track meet—ended up watching races for ages! 🌙 Night views of the lit-up "Brisbane" sign and Ferris Wheel were gorgeous. ☕ Coffee Iconic A must-visit garden-style brunch spot—pretty vibes & tasty food! 🥘 Haeduri Chicken City Crazy-long queue but worth it for the spicy chicken claws! 🔥 Day 2: Brisbane → Gold Coast 🚆 📍 Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary 🐨 Tickets: A$49 (or ¥198 on Ctrip). Pro tip: Book the koala cuddle early—we missed out! 🚇 2-hour train to Gold Coast after lunch. 📍 Q1 SkyPoint 🌇 Entry: A$31. Went at sunset—epic views but so crowded for photos! 🍝 Alfresco (Italian 🇮🇹) Google’s 4.7/5 rating didn’t lie—Amore Pasta, Marinara Pizza & Baby Octopus were chef’s kiss! Day 3: Gold Coast 🏝 📍 Sea World 🎢 Three roller coasters + marine exhibits. Meh—felt outdated compared to Chinese theme parks. 🎟 5-Park Pass (A$179) bought on-site. 📍 Springbrook National Park 🌌 Nighttime glowworm tour! Trekked through the forest with flashlights—magical✨. 🌟 Bonus: Stargazing—spotted the Southern Cross & Scorpio! Day 4: Gold Coast 🎬 📍 WhiteWater World 💦 Impulse visit since it’s near Movie World. Fun slides! (Regretted not bringing swimsuits 😭). 📍 Movie World 🎥 Character meet-ups (Superman, Joker, Marilyn Monroe)—great photo ops! 🎢 Rode the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest coaster—purple & red tracks = intense, green = "baby mode". Verdict: Better than Sea World, but still no Disney/Happy Valley. Final Thoughts 🤩 ✅ Must-dos: Koala cuddle, Q1 sunset, glowworms, Movie World coasters. ❌ Skip: Sea World (unless you really love marine life). #Brisbane #BrisbaneTravel #GoldCoast #GoldCoastTravel #AustraliaTravel #Midbreak #ExploreAustralia 🌏✨
