Popular access: 🚡 Skyrail cable car (our pick!) 🚂 Scenic train 🚗 Self-drive 🦆 Activities We Tried: 1️⃣ Army Duck Tour (Disappointing 😕) Expected: Wild jungle adventure 🐊 Reality: Fixed route + plants you can’t touch (but cool toxic flora facts!). 2️⃣ Skyrail Cable Car (Glass Bottom!) Breathtaking views—like a dinosaur soaring over ancient trees! Two stops: Rainforest lookout + Barron Falls. Tip: Only 1 in 14 cabins is glass-bottom—plan wait time! 3️⃣ Aboriginal Show Boomerang throwing = surprise highlight! 🪃 4️⃣ Tropical Flora Walk Instagrammable ferns & flowers (but no signal to Google them!). 🪖 Hidden Gem: Military Museum (Smithfield) Tanks, artillery, guns + tank rides (book ahead—we missed out!). 🍝 Dinner @ Villa Romana Yummy Italian near the marina (20-min drive from Trinity Beach). #KurandaRainforest #SkyrailCableCar #AboriginalCulture #MilitaryLovers #CairnsEats 🌴✨
