πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί Great Ocean Road 2-Day 1-Night Road Trip πŸš—πŸŒŠ

We rented a car for just over $120 for two days including insurance – under $100 without one-way fees! The car was delivered for free around 10 PM the night before – great service! πŸ‘ Day 1 ⏰ 9:30 AM: Departed Melbourne β†’ Geelong (approx. 1 hour drive) πŸ“ Geelong - Eastern Beach Spent about 2 hours here πŸ–οΈ There’s a swimming area with diving platforms, a kids’ pool, and slides – all free! Perfect for families πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Also offered: helicopter tours 🚁 (~$90 per person) πŸ“ Torquay Beach Nice surf beach πŸ„ – but we’ve seen many beaches in Aus, so we didn’t stop long. πŸ“ Split Point Lighthouse 🚨 Spent 30 mins – classic photo spot! πŸ“Έ πŸ“ Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch Stopped for 15 mins – must-get photo under the iconic arch! πŸŒ‰ πŸ“ Lorne Beach Another nice surf spot. Didn’t stop – heard there’s a rainforest waterfall nearby though! πŸŒ²πŸ’¦ πŸ“ Kafe Koala 🐨 Unfortunately closed when we arrived 😒 Instead, we hiked along Kennett River Nature Walk for an hour and spotted a few koalas 🐨 – but they were way up high! πŸŒ… Drove along the GOR as the sun set – stunning views worth pulling over for! 🏠 Stayed overnight in Apollo Bay Dinner: Fish & chips! 🍀 Apollo Bay is known for fresh seafood. Recommended spots: Apollo Bay Fishermen's Co-operative – highly rated but closes at 5 PM πŸ˜₯ Apollo Bay Seafood Cafe – we had the Seafood Platter with fried fish, squid, scallops, and crab legs πŸ¦€πŸ‘Œ Day 2 (to be continued...) (You didn’t include Day 2 – but I can help with that too if you’d like!) #GreatOceanRoad #RoadTrip #Australia #Melbourne #TwelveApostles #TravelAustralia #ScenicDrive
