π¦πΊ Melbourne | Cafe Transylvania Romanian Restaurant Exploration π·
Today, we explored a Romanian restaurant located in Hallam: Cafe Transylvania, and it was π absolutely amazing! π π¨βπ³π©βπ³ It's a family-run business, and the owners are extremely warm and welcoming! The service was π nothing short of 7-star quality! π They started by offering us a complimentary shot of liquor, which was π₯ 50 degrees strong! π₯ We're not big drinkers, but we couldn't refuse their hospitality. My husband tried it and said it was π exceptional! He's never found a liquor this good before! According to him, it had a sweet aroma, without the usual alcohol taste, reminiscent of chocolate, but it was very potent. We were so impressed that we bought a bottle to share with family and friends later. 1β£οΈ We ordered goulash soup, which is said to be a local specialty. Since there were two of us, the owner served the soup in two halves. The picture is actually π² half of the soup. π² It was very delicious, and the bread for dipping was just right. 2β£οΈ We also ordered a grilled main course that included pork chops, spicy sausages, and cevapcici. The pork chops were π outstanding! The skin was crispy, and the chop was very flavorful without being salty, without any unpleasant pork taste, and it wasn't just the sauce that made it tasty; it was delicious on its own and not greasy at all. The cevapcici was made by the owner himself, who said it was skinless sausage, very unique and delicious! 3β£οΈ The owner gave us a small cake as a gift. The base had a hazelnut and walnut crunch that was very tasty, so we ordered a full portion to enjoy. 4β£οΈ The owner also gave us a sample of another dish, cabbage rolls, which were made with pickled cabbage wrapped around beef and pork. The cabbage was pickled, similar to Chinese sauerkraut in method but with a different flavor. This restaurant has a Google rating of π 4.9, π and after trying it, it truly lives up to its reputation! It feels great to live in Melbourne, where you can experience authentic cuisines from all over the world. #MelbourneLife #MelbourneExplores #ExploresWithMe #MelbourneDaily #MelbourneRestaurants #MelbourneFood #MelbourneFoodExploration #RomanianCuisine π·π΄ #MelbourneHiddenGems #AusFood #AusFoodCheckin #Food
