The experience was just choice ๐๐ This place was a random pick, and I'm so glad I chose correctly.
First off, the atmosphere was just cosy. The staff were a bit rushed, but that's because they give attention to each customer. The service was impeccable with a friendly attitude and great genuine enjoyment in proving a service.
Next, the long black was unexpectedly served in a milkshake glass. However, it did not detract from a very pleasant coffee. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
My usual quality test of eggs benedict didn't happen due to my time after breakfast serving time (11:30). I was able to have the Big Transylvanian Breakfast. This came with some beautiful homemade beans and sausage. They definitely had the right amount of spices to please the palate. The eggs were cooked poached as I like it. The grilled mushrooms were perfectly cooked and delicious (I don't normally eat mushrooms). Finally, the bacon was well fried.
The cakes are a great sweet-chaser. They would easily satisfy any sweet-tooth
Honestly, it is hard to find any feedback to balance the praise. The only thing I would have liked would have been butter on my toast. It really isn't worth mentioning this, but because I like to ensure a balanced review, I have to put something.
Overall, this place earned its star rating. Definitely a recommendation to go try for yourself! Now I must go do some push ups (if you go, you'll know why) and then return tomorrow to try their eggs benedict and complete my...
ย ย ย Read moreI found this cafe online on my search for decent cafes in Melbourne .
We visit Melbourne frequently and havenโt come across a Romanian traditional food cafe so thought , since I was born there and donโt have family around to go and try while visiting Melbourne.
We are foodies and we normally tend to try a few different places for breakfast lunch and dinner especially while on holiday ๐.
We ordered mititei and cabbage rolls and some vinete dip . A tad of everything to try .
The lady Kate was absolutely amazing and what made the place for us feel like we back home in Romania . The hospitality, the laughter, the friendliness and the kindness she possessed was one to remember. Her aura and positive vibe is what makes it feel more like home than a restaurant come and go .
The food was great and was absolutely delicious. Just like I remembered from my grandparents kitchen.
We had to come back and try the cakes and traditional cookies so we took away to share. Everyone absolutely loved the cakes.
This unique cafe which caters for freshly cooked traditional Romanian meals is absolutely fantastic and we will definitely visit again when in Melbourne.
Thank you for your hospitality and great atmosphere .

ย ย ย Read moreI visited Cafe Transylvania on a Friday night as part of my assignment to evaluate their service and food quality. I was greeted by a hostess who was dressed as a vampire and had a charming accent. She led me to my table and handed me a menu that featured a variety of Hungarian and Romanian dishes, as well as some themed items.
The hostess was very attentive and friendly throughout my stay, checking on me frequently and making sure I had everything I needed. She also engaged me in some witty banter and told me some interesting facts about the history and culture of Transylvania. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant's concept and menu.
The food arrived promptly and was presented in an appealing way. The portions were generous and the flavors were authentic and delicious. I ordered the goulash soup, the stuffed cabbage . Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted fresh and homemade.
The highlight of the night was the performance by the staff.
I had a wonderful time at Cafe Transylvania and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable dining experience. The service was excellent, the food was superb, and the entertainment was captivating. It was one of the best restaurants I have...
