🇦🇺 Queensland Road Trip – Townsville 🚗🌄

Last time I was in Townsville was back in 2020. With travel on hold and 😷 restrictions tight back then, I picked this city near Cairns for a short getaway. I took a photo at Castle Hill that became my profile picture for years! This time, on my road trip back, I knew I had to return. Revisiting Castle Hill – aside from me being older 😂 and the lookout deck looking a bit worn, not much has changed. People are still hiking up and down, walking their dogs, and watching the sunset 🐕🌅. Stumbled upon a delicious Japanese restaurant 🍣 – the sashimi platter was super fresh, and the wagyu gyoza were incredibly juicy! It woke up my appetite so much that I ended up devouring a cup of instant noodles back at the hotel 🍜😆. We almost had a private screening of Black Adam 🎬 – which was just okay – and it felt like something from another century to watch a movie without a mask! I originally wanted to visit the aquarium, but it’s closed until late 2023 🐠🚧. A little regret – but just another reason to come back next time! Stayed at Palmer Hotel – great deal, super cheap! The room was small but newly renovated and in a perfect location 🏨✅. Alrighty – last stop done!
