🇦🇺 Tasmania Day 1-2: Sheffield, Cradle Mountain & Stanley Adventure!
1️⃣ Sheffield – The Town of Murals 🎨 Just 1-hour drive 🚗 from Launceston with our tour group! A charming artsy town covered in stunning murals—some blending history & nature. Spot Eason Chan’s artwork and meet the friendly local grandpa 👴 (free photos!) – he’s like the town’s NPC! 😆 2️⃣ Cradle Mountain – Wild & Untamed Beauty 🏔️ A UNESCO World Heritage site with glacial lakes, alpine meadows, and wombats! 🦥 2-hour drive from Sheffield with our group of 7. Hiked and saw wild wombats—SO CUTE!!! 😍 3️⃣ Stanley – Coastal Magic & "The Nut" 🌊 A peaceful seaside town famous for: The Nut (a volcanic rock—like a mini Uluru by the sea!). Lobster feasts! 🦞 Climbed The Nut (15 mins ⏰) for breathtaking views of Stanley & the bay! ✨Highlight✨: Nighttime stargazing + penguin spotting! 🐧💫 (MAGICAL!) 4️⃣ Ross (The Arch Bridge Town) 🌉 Stopped here on the way to Hobart. Home to Australia’s oldest arch bridge, but… not super impressive 😅. Tried the famous lavender ice cream 🍦—just okay, skip if short on time! 🚗 Itinerary Summary: 1️⃣ Classic Route: Launceston → Sheffield (1h) → Cradle Mountain (stay overnight) → Stanley (3h drive next day). 2️⃣ Travel Tips: Roads are WINDY 🌀 + some areas have NO signal 📵—download offline maps! Consider a local tour—driving takes ages on this island! ⏳ 📌 Hashtags: #TasmaniaRoadTrip 🚙 #CradleMountainMagic 🏞️ #SheffieldMurals 🎨 #StanleyTheNut 🌰
