Destination: Mont Saint-Michel Starting Point: Le Havre 🚗 BlaBlaCar ride: €13 direct from Le Havre to Caen 🏠 Airbnb was a bit remote (not recommended). Tomorrow taking tram to gare for FlixBus to Mont Saint-Michel ⛪️ Caen City Tour: 🇧🇪 Students should check out Abbaye aux Hommes (Men's Abbey) - unique architecture! 🏰 Castle + pretty roadside flowers 🌸 🍺 Magic-themed bar Moon&Sons 🪄 (just okay) 🍽️ Bœuf & Cow Restaurant 🥩 Ate the €27 set (starter + main, drinks extra) As a Belgium student used to paying for tap water, I didn't know French water is free! Also ordered red wine (€6) - total €33 HUGE portions - this foodie was stuffed! 🟰 Verdict: Caen is beautiful and clean (Le Havre too!)
