🇧🇪 My Favorite Pho in All of Belgium - Pho Diem Xuan in Brussels 🍜
📍 Chau. de Boondael 325, 1050 Ixelles As someone with a thoroughly Asian palate, a simple and delicious bowl of pho has always been my go-to comfort food. I've tried many places, but this one is the only one I'd willingly return to countless times! The owners seem to be a Vietnamese family, and the place looks incredibly authentic at first glance. They offer pho at different price points based on the amount of beef, ranging from 14, 16, to 20 euros. I usually go for the 16 euro option, which comes with beef meatballs and three different textures of beef. The portion is genuinely huge; I always leave stuffed, yet I find myself coming back for more. Compared to other places that sparingly provide a few leaves of herbs, this place is quite generous with their accompaniments. They give plenty of my favorite mung bean sprouts, as well as classic hoisin sauce and chili sauce. ☕️ Another noteworthy mention is that the Vietnamese coffee here is also quite good! It's not overly sweet and sickly like some others I've encountered. I've also ordered duck noodles once; the skin was crispy, and it was very much in line with Chinese-style cooking. And once, I had a prawn noodle dish which was also delicious, slightly spicy, and included pickled bamboo shoots. ⚠️ Although the place is always busy, the restaurant is large enough to accommodate the crowd. I've been there multiple times and was able to walk in without a reservation; only once did I have to wait for a short while. #Europe #BelgiumStudy #Belgium #BelgiumLife #BelgiumTravel #Brussels #BrusselsFood #BrusselsTravelGuide #BrusselsExploration
