🇧🇷|Weekend Getaway to Salvador, Brazil!

📖 Known as the "Black Rome", Brazil’s first capital, and the heart of Afro-Brazilian culture, Salvador is a coastal gem in Bahia state. With its colonial architecture, vibrant African influences, and stunning Atlantic beaches, it’s the perfect mix of history and relaxation! ⛱️ Two days are enough! Day 1: Explore the historic old town Day 2: Beach day & sunset vibes We flew in Thursday night from São Paulo and left Sunday noon—plenty of time to see it all! ⛪️ Day 1: Historic Pelourinho (Old Town Route) 📍 Centro Histórico – Baroque buildings, MJ’s They Don’t Care About Us church! 📍 Elevador Lacerda – Iconic elevator connecting upper & lower city 📍 Mercado Modelo – Old market (go early for souvenirs & snacks!) 📍 Praia do MAM – Colorful beachfront houses 📍 Museu de Arte Moderna – Cool Bahian art 📍 Morro do Cristo – Sunset spot with epic views 💡 Safety tips (from locals!): 1️⃣ Leave by 4-5PM – Streets empty fast after dark. 2️⃣ Stick to tourist areas – Avoid sketchy alleys (we got warned by a kind driver!). 3️⃣ Say NO to "free" body paint – They’ll charge R$100+ after! 4️⃣ Use cameras, not phones – Less tempting for thieves. 🌊 Day 2: West Coast Chill (Beach Hopping!) 📍 Buraco da Sereia – Lighthouse views 📍 Flamengo Beach – Golden sands 📍 Morro do Cristo – Palm-fringed island (perfect pics!) 📍 Ondina Beach – Best for sunrise/sunset 🍹 Must-visit beach bar: Blue Beach Bar (R$50 entry, private beach, drinks extra—so worth it!). Open 9AM-6PM (no night entry). 💃 Extra Tips 🦞 Try Moqueca (Bahia’s famous coconut seafood stew!). ✈️ Airport code: SSA – Small & efficient (1hr early is enough). 🏨 Stay near the beach – Safer & better views. 🚗 Use Uber – Avoid wandering. #Brazil #Salvador #TravelBrazil #BeachVibes #HistoricCities #WeekendGetaway
