šŸ‡§šŸ‡· A Day in Campinas: My Go-To Spots Before Heading Home

Can’t believe my one-month business trip is almost over—just a few days left before flying back! āœˆļø Campinas has been my home base whenever I’m not traveling, and here’s why: 1ļøāƒ£ Local colleagues nearby (super handy for work!) 2ļøāƒ£ Easy access to SĆ£o Paulo—when desperate, I’d splurge on a R$200+ Uber (1.5-hour ride). FYI: Foreigners can’t take Brazilian buses 😤 (ugh, the R$50 option would’ve been nice!). 3ļøāƒ£ Safe & lively—unlike SP, where I’d be stuck in a hotel, Campinas has everything: malls, cafĆ©s, bars… I kept myself VERY entertained 🤭 My Favorite Hangouts in Campinas 1ļøāƒ£ Grainne’s Pub šŸ“ *R. Padre Almeida, 170 - CambuĆ* A cozy Irish pub I stumbled upon by accident! šŸ» The live bands here are amazing—they cover 80s/90s international classics (perfect for this foreigner!). The vibe is electric, though packed like sardines—just embrace the Brazilian energy and dance! šŸ’ƒ Pro tip: Went 3x in one week (no regrets… except the next-day leg soreness šŸ˜…). 2ļøāƒ£ Boteco SĆ£o Bento CambuĆ šŸ“ *R. Dr. EmĆlio Ribas, 619 - CambuĆ* Spacious, trendy, and great for groups! šŸŽ¶ The music leans electronic, the chopp (draft beer) is top-notch, and Sundays = buy-one-get-one drinks! šŸŗšŸ‘Æā™‚ļø Ideal for friends, coworkers, or even family gatherings. Bonus: Plenty of eye candy here too. šŸ˜‰ 3ļøāƒ£ Banana CafĆ© (Today’s Happy Discovery!) šŸ“ *R. Gen. Osório, 2090 - CambuĆ* DING DING DING—jackpot! šŸŽ‰ First visit, and everything was chef’s kiss: Drink: Tried the "Amante" (aka "Lover" šŸ’˜)—a sweet, frothy mix of lemon juice, raspberry syrup, gin (hidden too well!), and egg-white foam. Insta-worthy! šŸ“ø Food: A toasty open-faced sandwich with ham/mushroom versions. The ham one stole my heart—melty cheese under the ham, subtle but perfection. šŸ§€šŸ”„ Final thoughts: Campinas = work + play done right. Counting down to home, but definitely coming back! ā¤ļø #CampinasLife #BrazilDiaries #FoodieFinds #Nightlife #TravelTips #BarHopping #HiddenGems #WorkTripVibes
