I was in Winnipeg for work this week. With a short weekend stopover, I finally had some time to take my camera out for a walk.👌 The Exchange District (sometimes translated as the Trading District) is a Canadian National Historic Site. It spans twenty blocks and includes around 150 historic buildings, divided into eastern and western parts by Main Street.😁 The streets are lined with buildings richly decorated with terracotta and stone, reflecting Winnipeg’s prosperity from the late 19th to early 20th century. Back then, Winnipeg was one of the fastest-growing cities in North America — earning it the nickname “Chicago of the North.” The name “Exchange” comes from the historic Winnipeg Grain Exchange located in this area.❤️ Today, the district is home to art galleries, studios, great restaurants, and cozy cafés. 🎨☕ I enjoyed a delicious brunch at Clementine Café and a refined dinner at the trendy Deer + Almond. 🍽️ And of course, I captured these dreamy, almost timeless streets — some literally frozen in time (especially that last shot 👀). 📍|Exchange District, Winnipeg 📷|Canon EOS R5 Mark II w/ RF24-105mm F2.8 #Winnipeg #Manitoba #Canada #StreetPhotography #CinematicVibes #DocumentaryPhotography #UrbanExploration #CityWalk #CanonCommunity #CanonEOSR5M2
