🇨🇦 $38 French-Asian Fusion on Queen West - Worth It?
The chef here previously worked at Globe Bistro (a Korean chef 👨🏻🍳) ⚠️ Note: Globe Bistro has permanently closed ❌ This new spot attempts French-Asian fusion cuisine 🍴🥢 Let's just say... they fused it. Maybe they shouldn't have. 🦐 Pan-Seared Shrimp Tasted like shrimp swimming in oil... (Some food blogger called this "speechlessly delicious" - well now I'm speechless too... with disappointment) 🍗 Fried Chicken Not bad! Basically Korean-style fried chicken 🥩 Steak (Medium Rare) Somehow still managed to be chewy enough to make my temples hurt (That same blogger claimed it was "tender" - unbelievable) 🐟 Coconut Curry Salmon Actually decent flavor-wise 🍔 Burger The highlight! Soft brioche bun, juicy patty, creamy sauce 🍍 Caramelized Pineapple Canned pineapple with a sugar shell... truly terrible 🍮 Sticky Toffee Pudding Blogger called it the "perfect ending" - more like my blood sugar screaming for help 💰 **38for3courses∗∗(appetizer+main+dessert)Thepricematchesthequality−whichisn ′ tsayingmuch.Platingtriestobefancybutingredientsfeelcheap.Thevibeisfast−casualatbest.At38, I can't complain too loudly... but I also wouldn't recommend making a special trip. ✋🏻 📌 NGOGO 646 Queen St W, Toronto #TorontoEats #TorontoFoodie #FrenchFusion #FoodFail #TorontoLife #Overhyped #DiningDisappointments #QueenWest
