🇨🇦 Third Visit & Still Obsessed!!!
This Fried River Shrimp Lives Up to the Hype 🫡 Every time I'm in DT Toronto, I struggle to pick where to eat—too many amazing options! ☀️ This scorching summer day called for extra-icy Thai tea, and I remembered all the hype about Wang Lang. Went at 1PM on a Saturday—no line, straight to feasting! 🎉 ——— 🦐 Goong Pae - $15 EVERYONE recommended these fried river shrimp cakes—and WOW, they deliver! 🌟 Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, with shells fried to perfect crunch (no weird mouth-scratchiness!). Paired with a sweet chili-esque sauce—surprisingly not greasy despite being deep-fried. 10/10 must-order! 🐙 Muek Yud Sai Yang - $18 Grilled squid stuffed with minced pork! 🦑 The squid itself was fresh and bouncy, served with funky Thai shrimp paste sauce (an acquired taste!). Pro tip: Dip it in the shrimp cake sauce instead—next-level delicious! 🍜 Pad See Ew w/ Shrimp - $24 Best Pad See Ew I've had in Toronto! 🔥 Wok hei for days, sweet-savory sauce, and zero spice (perfect for mild palates). The shrimp were plump and juicy too! 🐷 Kor Moo Yang - $16 Grilled pork neck was just okay. 🤷♀️ Too fatty for my taste, and the dipping sauce had a spicy kick (not for heat-averse folks!). 🍠 Ube Ice Cream - $9 Skip it. 🚫 Nothing special with so many better dessert spots in DT. Save room for more shrimp cakes! 🧊 Thai Iced Tea - PERFECTION. Sweet, strong, and icy-cold—exactly what summer ordered! ❄️💛 ——— 📍 Wang Lang 669 King St W, Toronto, ON M5V 1M9 🅿️ Street parking (Green P available) #TorontoEats #MarkhamFoodie #ThaiFoodToronto #DTDining #NoRegretsEats #TorontoLife #FoodieAdventure
