🇨🇦 3-Day Solo Trip in Vancouver — No Car Needed!
I decided to escape the crowds during the May holiday and snagged a great flight deal to Vancouver. Here’s how I made the most of my solo trip! 🧳✈️ ✈️ Flights: Hong Kong Airlines round-trip direct from HKG to YVR 🚌 Local Transport: Mostly tapped my Visa card 💳. If using public transport frequently, get a Day Pass from any SkyTrain station machine. 🏨 Accommodation: Stayed near Waterfront in Downtown — safe, walkable, and transit-friendly 🚶♀️🏙️. 💡 Itinerary: Day 1️⃣: Stanley Park 🌲🚴♀️ Spent half a day biking and strolling — stunning views of West & North Vancouver! Also found the memorial bench for Leslie Cheung (a must for fans 💔). English Bay & Sunset Beach 🏖️☀️ Perfect for relaxing, people-watching, and soaking up that West Coast chill vibe. Day 2️⃣: Gastown 🕰️ Saw the steam clock, browsed boutiques, and spotted Vancouver’s “武康 Building” — but watch out for unhoused individuals and dog poop 🐶💩. Canada Place ⛵📸 Iconic five-sail landmark! Vancouver Art Gallery 🖼️ Yaletown 🍽️ Great for food and photos! Day 3️⃣: Granville Island 🎨 Roamed the Public Market (so many snacks!) and loved the artsy vibe. UBC Campus Tour 🎓🌹 Amazing views! My route: UBC Sign → Bookstore → Student Nest → Library → Rose Garden → Museum of Anthropology (so impressive!) → Wreck Beach (clothing-optional… yeah, that was a surprise! 😳). 🌸 Late April even offered late cherry blossoms — who knew I’d enjoy sakura in Vancouver instead of Japan or China?! Everything went better than expected — perfect weather, smooth transit, and good vibes only ❤️🌤️ #VancouverTravel #SoloTravel #ExploreCanada #NoCarNeeded #TravelGram #Wanderlust #VancouverDiary
