🇨🇦 7-Day Maritimes Adventure (Part 1: Halifax) ✈️🌊
Perfect for families with young kids! Here’s how we explored Halifax without the stress of driving. ✈️ Transportation Porter Airlines (Toronto → Halifax): Delayed due to rain (ugh) + mediocre service. 👎 Rental Car: Picked up at the airport—essential for Peggy’s Cove! 🏨 Hotel: Halifax Tower Hotel ✅ Pros: Spacious, modern, quiet. ❌ Cons: 10-min drive to downtown (but closer to Peggy’s Cove!). 🍽️ Food Highlights 1️⃣ The Bicycle Thief: Lobster roll = 👍 | Pork ribs = 👎 (salty AF!) 2️⃣ Mystery Thai Spot: Saved our Chinese-food-craving souls after too many burgers. 🏰 Top 3 Kid-Friendly Attractions 1️⃣ Halifax Citadel ($) Skip if short on time—but the noon cannon blast is fun. 2️⃣ Waterfront Boardwalk (FREE!) Harbour Hopper tour = splashing + history. 3️⃣ Peggy’s Cove (⭐ MUST!) Toddler-approved rock-hopping + epic lighthouse waves. ⏭️ Skipped But Worth Mentioning Lunenburg: Colorful houses (better in photos than IRL). Cape Breton: Requires overnight stay for Skyline Trail (next time!). Up next: PEI’s red sands & lobster rolls! #FamilyTravel #EastCoastCanada #HalifaxWithKids
