🇨🇦 A Perfect Final Day in Halifa
"The best thing in life is growing old together on the road—catching shooting stars, sitting atop mountains, listening to music, talking about movies, eating good food... When the sunrise peaks over the hills, may I never grow old, and may you always stay by my side." — Up Our last morning gifted us a stunning sunrise 🌅 from our hotel balcony... but alas, the skies opened up as we left ☔. Bittersweet feelings—saying goodbye to Halifax friends, not knowing when we'd meet again. But at least Xigua had the day off to explore the city with us! ☕ Breakfast at Dilly Dally Café No more Tim Hortons! This popular spot had a line out the door 🚶♀️🚶🚶♂️. We ordered the fried egg sammy and smoked salmon scramble (I think?)—fresh avocado 🥑, perfectly toasted bread, and amazing coffee. 10/10! 😌 🏰 Halifax Citadel This hilltop fortress (very Edinburgh-esque!) offers panoramic city views. Inside: Military museum with weapons & barracks ⚔️ Bagpipe-playing "soldiers" (are they real? 🤔) 🦉 Museum of Natural History (FREE!) Lucked out—August promo = free admission 🎉! Small but super interactive, especially for kids: A magical tree hollow hiding animals (press buttons for sounds!) 🌳🔊 A whole wall of bees 🐝—the guide even helped us spot the queen bee! 🚗 Pit Stop Before Cape Breton Spotted #TSUJIRI downtown! Couldn’t resist a warming milk tea for the long drive ahead 🧋❤️. 💭 Final Thoughts on Halifax: Perfect summer temps (cool nights! 🌬️) Friendly locals (everyone we met was lovely!) Cozy, not chaotic—no big-city frenzy, but far from "boring"! #HalifaxDiaries #NovaScotia #TravelCanada #CityAndNature 🌿🏙️
