🇨🇦 A New Retro-Themed Korean Bistro Just Opened on Sheppard!
Toronto weather is finally… WARM! ☀️ Summer nights are coming, and this newly opened vintage Korean bistro on Sheppard is the perfect romantic spot to enjoy them! 📍Bistro Mujae 41 Spring Garden Ave, North York The new spot is right next to Zhao San Niang Mao Cai, in the former Hay Sushi location. They’ve only been open for a week, and you can already see congratulatory flower baskets from other izakayas (including Safe Zone!). I’m guessing the owner probably has experience working in this kind of restaurant. The decor here isn’t your typical Korean pub style — it’s got that trendy retro-vintage charm that’s popular in Korea right now. 🍷📻 The menu keeps familiar Korean flavors but adds a creative twist! The raw octopus & beef tartare is seriously cute 🐙💖 Served with gimbap — it’s a classic Korean market flavor, and even better than Bonito’s because the octopus here is actually raw! Pepperoni & potato pancake — think pepperoni pizza… but as a crispy Korean pancake! 🧇 Perfect drinking snack — so crunchy you almost forget it’s made from potatoes. A lot of items on the menu aren’t available yet, so maybe wait a bit before visiting for more options. I really wanted to try their squid sausage (오징어 순대) 🥹 #TorontoFood #CozyBistro #HiddenGemIzakaya
