🇨🇦 Burlington’s Royal Botanical Gardens: A “Healing” Escape 🌿🌸

I’d heard great things about Burlington’s Royal Botanical Gardens 🌳🏞️, but this was my first visit—and wow, it lived up to the hype! The gardens aren’t massive, but they’re exquisitely curated. Under two Western-style gazebos in the main garden, flowers bloom like a riot of colors , and the air smells faintly of blossoms 🌸👃. No birdsong, but soft music drifts from hidden speakers —a serene vibe. There are several smaller gardens here too. Beyond the Rose Garden 🌹 and Lily Garden , there’s a Healing Garden (my mind immediately went to Lu Xun’s childhood “Hundred-Herb Garden” 📚🌿). Each plot of medicinal plants corresponds to a human organ. For example, if your eyes feel dry from screen time , local herbs like Goldthread, Goldenseal, Alternate-leaved Dogwood, and Foamflower can help soothe them. Trouble is, I don’t know their Chinese names… my plant vocabulary’s lacking! 😅📚 Just finished watching the hit show My Altay 📺—netizens call it “healing.” I guess that’s what this garden is too: a dose of calm in a chaotic world. After strolling, hunger hit 🍽️😋, but the café only serves Western-style snacks… no “stir-fried noodles with oil-soaked meat” 🍜😢. Oh well, next time! #WeekendEscapes #Burlington #BotanicalGardens #HealingVibes 🌿🌍
