🇨🇦 Cherry-Picking Adventure in Kelowna! 🍒
The long-awaited cherry-picking day finally arrived! Woke up at 5:30 AM, got home at 11 PM—dedication level: extreme! 😅 Our driver was super nice, and the van was comfy. Not a direct trip though—we made a pit stop at Bridal Veil Falls 🌊 (a cute little waterfall worth checking out if you're passing by). A short climb up, but coming down needed a bit of caution! 🍒 Cherry Farm Experience Entry fee: $3 | Yellow cherries: $7.50/lb By the time we got there, most cherries were already picked, but we didn’t need much anyway. Found a sweet spot near the entrance and went to town! The yellow cherries were CRISP and SUPER sweet—almost too sweet after a while! 😆 Couldn’t find red cherries (probably deep in the orchard). Almost got heatstroke ☀️🔥—lost steam fast and left with just two small buckets. 🌊 Detour: Okanagan Lake City Park The lake is HUGE, with stunning blue waters! Packed with people swimming, picnicking, and enjoying the views. Super shallow near the shore—perfect for a dip! 🏊♂️ 🚗 Final Verdict? Not sure if the 10+ hour round trip was worth it for cherries… Maybe next year we’ll pick somewhere closer! 😂 But Okanagan Lake? 100% worth a full day! Bring a paddleboard, book a lakeside hotel, and make a weekend of it! 🏄♀️🌅 #OkanaganLake #KelownaAdventures #CherryPicking #BCSummer #TravelCanada #NotForTheFaintOfHeart 😆🍒
