π¨π¦ Edmonton | The Wokkery Restaurant Review β
π½οΈ The Wokkery Restaurant π 10969 98 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5H 2P8 A modest-sized Chinese restaurant with 8-9 tables (each seats 10). Simple decor with vintage-style calligraphy on the walls. Average ~$40 per person. π Five-Spice Braised Goose Very flavorful, tender, and juicy β the fat melts in your mouth! Highly recommended π π Beef Ho Fun with Vegetables Authentic Cantonese style! Rich oyster sauce flavor, tender beef, and crispy veggies. The noodles were a bit broken though π π Garlic Steamed Sea Bass Not worth itβ¦ barely any taste. Better to buy a fresh one from T&T and cook at home ππ ββοΈ π Concubine Chicken (Gui Fei Chicken) The dipping sauce is the STAR here! π§β¨ However, the chicken itself isnβt as fatty or tender as traditional Cantonese white-cut chicken. The meat is okay, but the skin lacks richness. π¦ Salt & Pepper Squid Not a fan β the seasoning was weak, and it felt overly greasy. Skip unless you really love squid. π₯¬ Garlic Gai Lan (Chinese Broccoli) Classic Cantonese preparation β solid and reliable β π¦ Peking Duck Three Ways My FAVORITE dish here! π Didnβt expect to find Peking duck in Edmonton β so moved! While not as perfect as Torontoβs βDa Ya Liβ, itβs still highly authentic: crispy skin, tender meat, and tasty sauce. A must-order! π² Duck Bone Soup Decent β no gamey taste, light and comforting. π€ Salted Egg Yolk Prawns Okay but not standout β not very aromatic, but at least not overly heavy. #EdmontonEats #YEGFood #ChineseCuisine #CantoneseFood #PekingDuck #FoodReview #EdmontonLife #TheWokkery #ComfortFood π₯’π¦π
