🇨🇦 Elmvale Jungle Zoo - A Wild Adventure North of Toronto! 🦁🌿
Location: Elmvale Jungle Zoo - 14191 Simcoe County Rd 27, Phelpston, ON L0L 1P0 (North of Toronto, near Barrie) Little Surprises: This was my first time seeing spotted hyenas and donkeys up close—so cool! 😮🦓🐴 The zoo feels like a forest trail, with a natural, rustic vibe and lots of shade from the trees. (But beware—mosquitoes and bugs are plentiful, so bring bug repellent bracelets! 🦟🚫) Experience: We spent about 2 hours exploring—it’s not huge, but it’s packed with a variety of animals! 🦒🐅🦩 You’ll find lions, tigers, wildebeests, antelopes, lemurs, giraffes, cranes, flamingos, owls, vultures, swans, ostriches, and more! The zoo has a strong African wildlife theme, and the animals are surprisingly close—just be prepared for some strong animal smells! 😅👃 One of the best parts? You can feed some of the animals! 🥕🍎 The smaller creatures are super friendly and love being fed—such a fun, interactive experience! Funny Kid Moment: Throughout the visit, my kid was most fascinated by the birds flying overhead… and, of course, the most advanced animal of all: humans! 😂👶 Guess the connection with the little animals wasn’t strong enough yet—we’ll have to come back when they’re older! #UpCloseWithAnimals #FarmLife #AnimalEncounters #ExploreTheWild #FamilyAdventure
