🇨🇦 Hidden Gem Eastern European Jewish Bar Near UofT! 🎭✨

Maven Toronto 📍112 Harbord St, Toronto This newly opened bar boasts an impressive 4.9 Google rating—and for good reason! The flavors, service, and ambiance are all top-notch. Specializing in Eastern European Jewish cuisine, their short but mighty menu (see below!) delivers bold, unforgettable dishes. 🍽️ MUST-TRY DISHES: 🥖 Challah Buns with Chicken Liver Mousse Freshly baked challah paired with rich chicken liver mousse. Alone, the mousse can be a tad gamey, but add their tangy house pickles, and magic happens! 🪄 The sweet-sour contrast cuts through the richness, letting the liver’s deep umami shine. Each bite is heavenly! 🔥 BBQ Salami Grilled beef salami glazed with apricot jam—a caramelized, smoky dream. The fat renders into sheer perfection, and a dab of yellow mustard adds a sharp kick. Meat-lover’s paradise! 🥓💫 🦆 Duck Confit Cholent Crispy-skinned duck leg meets hearty bean-and-onion stew. The meat? Fall-off-the-bone tender, infused with aromatic duck fat. Every spoonful is comfort food elevated. 🤤🍖 🥗 Kale Fennel Salad Ordered for vitamins and fiber (adulting is hard, okay? 😅). Tossed the cheese aside and moo-ved on—basic but necessary! 🐄🌿 🍹 DRINK UP! Most guests come for the booze (their Eastern European-inspired cocktails look incredible). Sadly, I was DD this time—next visit, I’m diving in! 🍸🌟 📍 PRO TIPS: Book ahead! Even on weekdays, it’s packed. Ideal for: Date nights ✨ | Foodie adventures 🍴 | Boozy chats with friends 🥂 #Toronto #TorontoEats #TorontoFoodie #HiddenGems #UofT #EasternEuropeanCuisine
