🇨🇦 Montreal 3-Day 2-Night Travel Guide
Toronto to Montreal Options: Via Rail ✈️ From Montreal Airport to Downtown: Take the 747-1 bus 🚌. Follow the crowd to the ticket machine to buy a 24-hour or 3-day public transit pass (covers metro and buses—Zone A is usually sufficient). Day 1: Notre-Dame Basilica → Old Port (see the Ferris wheel 🎡) 1️⃣ Notre-Dame Basilica: Buy tickets in advance. Student ticket: $14 💵. The interior is spectacular—worth spending an hour inside. 2️⃣ After the basilica, walk to the Old Port. Skip the overpriced viral wheel croissant spot—$12 for one? 😂 I found the same thing at Atwater Market for just over $5! 3️⃣ Stroll around the Old Port streets—great for photos! I found a cool slope near a bridge with perfect evening lighting 📸. Day 2: 1️⃣ City walk day! Explore Mile End and Mont Royal streets—full of boutique shops and delicious food! 😋 Try the smoked meat sandwich at Wilensky’s Light Lunch and nearby gnocchi. 2️⃣ From there, take Bus 11 🚌 up to Mount Royal. Get off and walk a short way to the lookout for a panoramic city view 🌆! 3️⃣ After descending, I took the bus to St. Joseph’s Oratory. Couldn’t go inside that day, but still worth a photo outside. 4️⃣ Headed back downtown for dinner at The Keg. Their classic steak meal is huge and totally worth it 🥩 (yes, even for one person!). Day 3: 1️⃣ Took it easy on Day 3 😊—visited the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Free for under 25! ❌ No water, big coats, or large bags allowed—lockers available at the entrance. 2️⃣ Took the bus to Atwater Market 🛒: tried the famous yogurt 😋👍, and the pizza next to it was AMAZING! Cannoli was great too. 3️⃣ Finally made it to Crew Collective & Cafe ☕️ (closes at 4 PM—almost missed it again!). 4️⃣ For Via Rail, arriving 30-40 mins before departure is enough. The station is small, and there’s no luggage check. Hope this helps everyone planning a trip to MTL! Have a blast! 💙 #Canada #Toronto #StudyAbroad #NorthAmericanLife #Travel #Montreal #TravelGuide #WorldTravel #Foodie 🍁✈️
