đšđŠ Montreal 4-Day 3-Night Food Guide
Iâd always heard Eastern Canada had great food, but I never expected it to be THIS good! Especially coming from Calgary â a bit of a food desert đïž â every bite made me forget I was still in Canada. Following recommendations really paid off â almost no regrets! đ La Panzeria More like open-faced sandwiches than pizza đ„Ș We got a half-and-half: Fig Burrata & Pistachio Burrata (Substituted ham with beef since my friend doesnât eat pork) Sweet and savory on soft focaccia â Iâm in love! The pistachio pesto pasta was a bit richâbetter shared between 3-4 people. đ La Banquise 24-hour poutine spot đ We went at 10:30 PM and still waited 40 mins! Crowded and service was just okay⊠but the food made up for it. Never understood the hype around poutine until I tried theirsâ Peppery gravy, tender meat, and not overly salty. Definitely worth it! đ La Cave Ă Manger Came for the famous Baumkuchen croissant đ„ Was worried about missing the pistachio flavor, but lucked outâno line and fully stocked! Maybe my expectations were too high⊠the croissant wasnât as flaky as I hoped, but the pistachio filling was delicious and not too sweet. đ Dunnâs Famous Two top spots for Montreal smoked meat: this and Schwartzâs Deli. We passed by Schwartzâs twiceâit didnât look too inviting đ Dunnâs is more restaurant-style (and slightly pricier), but oh myâthe sandwich was incredible! The meat was super tender and juicy. Just mustard and breadâperfection đ„Ș đ CafĂ© Olimpico Good coffee â⊠but the cup was kinda small. Their tiramisu (highly recommended online) was too sweet for me. đ Au Pied de Cochon Duck hand roll tasted like sashimi â amazing! Foie gras sushi with sweet and sour sauce = heaven in one bite đŁ Book ahead! This place is tiny and always packed. Service was 10/10 though. Post is too long â will include the BEST meal of the trip and one big disappointment! đ #Montreal #CanadaTravel #MontrealFood #FoodieDiary #FoodShare #EatInMontreal đŽâš
