🇨🇦 Must-Try Syrian Restaurant in Toronto 🇸🇾 Absolutely Amazing!

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with dining at restaurants from lesser-known cuisines—it’s always a delightful surprise to discover unique flavor combinations I’ve never tried before. This meal left me thinking, "This was totally worth it!" 😌 The food was incredibly delicious 😋, with both indoor and outdoor seating in a lovely ambiance. The service was exceptionally friendly too! 🍴 What We Ordered: 1️⃣ Kabab Karaz ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mind-blowing! Beef skewers marinated in cherries 🍒—a traditional dish from Aleppo, northern Syria. On our way here, we saw cherries for $9.99/lb, and this plate was packed with a full pound of them! Served with flatbread 🫓 to wrap the juicy beef and cherries—sweet, savory, and perfectly balanced. Even my friend kept muttering, "This is unreal!" The side salad 🥗 with a light tangy dressing complemented it perfectly. 2️⃣ Makdous Fatteh ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Think of it as deconstructed lasagna, Syrian-style! Layers of crispy pita 🥙 soaked in tomato sauce, topped with eggplant, spiced beef, tahini (sesame paste), parsley 🌿, pomegranate, and nuts. Every bite was an explosion of textures and flavors—you HAVE to try it to understand! 3️⃣ Falafel Plate ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Crispy on the outside, fluffy inside—these chickpea fritters were perfectly spiced. Served with tahini dip, pickles 🥒, and tangy pickled veggies. So addictive! 4️⃣ Syrian Coffee ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Infused with cardamom, this coffee ☕️ had a deep, almost smoky flavor—my friend described it as "tasting like ashes, but in a good, storytelling way?" 😆 Served in beautiful traditional cups, it was a must-try cultural experience. 5️⃣ Mom’s Hariseh ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A classic Syrian dessert 🍮 made with semolina and topped with roasted pistachios. Very sweet (no wonder they asked if we wanted coffee with it!), but the nuttiness balanced it out. Perfect for sharing! 📍 Restaurant Info: 🏠 Zezafoun Syrian Cuisine 📍 4 Manor Rd E, Toronto The world is huge—and so are its flavors! This place is a hidden gem 🌟 that’ll transport you straight to Syria. #SyrianFood #TorontoEats #HiddenGems #FoodieAdventure #100RestaurantsChallenge #TorontoFoodie #MiddleEasternCuisine #MustTryToronto #UnexpectedDelights #DamascusFlavorsInTO
