Your Ultimate Damascus Food & Fun Guide is Here! 🎉🍽️
After two trips to Syria, I still couldn’t get enough of 10 days in Damascus! Here’s my must-try list: 🛍️ Midhat Pasha Souq Here, you’ll find famous Aleppo soap 🧼, exotic spices 🌿, Damascus rosewater 🌹, and all kinds of handmade Syrian crafts—perfect for souvenirs! 🍨 Bakdash – The Century-Old Ice Cream Shop Their hand-pounded ice cream is legendary! Since I stayed in the Old City, I passed by daily and couldn’t resist their pudding ice cream 🤤. ☕ Anawfara Café – A 300-Year-Old Hidden Gem This historic café is always packed! Around 6 PM, an old storyteller takes the stage, sharing tales of Damascus 🏛️📖. 📍 Near Zwal.sy (ask locals—I forgot to save the exact name 😅). 💡 Pro tip: Enjoy Syrian coffee, shisha 💨, or a quick sandwich here. 🥪 The Secret Sandwich Spot Just around the corner from Anawfara Café (ask the owner!), this place serves the BEST sandwiches in town! 🥙 I came three times—grab one, then head back to the café for coffee & shisha, and spend the afternoon exploring nearby handicraft shops 🎨. 🌙 Eldorado – Rooftop Dining with a View Right across from Anawfara Café, this spot is a must for dinner—sit on the rooftop terrace for the best experience! (That’s why the ground floor always looks empty 😆). Here, you’ll taste authentic Syrian cuisine 🍢🥘. Damascus is a feast for the senses—don’t miss these gems! ✨ #Syria #Damascus #Foodie #TravelTips #MiddleEastAdventures
