🇨🇦 My Solo Dining Experience at Botanist

Vancouver's #32 Top Restaurant 🍽️ Nestled inside the Fairmont Hotel near Canada Place, Botanist ranks #32 on Canada's Top 100 Restaurants (2025) and boasts a bar at #24 on North America's Top 50 Bars. It’s been ages since my last visit (2018, according to my social media!), so today’s solo lunch was long overdue. 🍸 What The Flower ($22) A gin-based cocktail with zesty lemon and ginger—refreshing with a lingering finish. Perfect start! 🍞 Complimentary Sourdough Crispy crust, chewy interior, and tangy fermented flavor (better than most bakeries!). Paired with cream cheese-infused butter—heavenly. 🧀 Burrata Di Puglia ($26) Cool, creamy burrata with asparagus, lettuce, and basil—unexpectedly divine combo. 🐟 Pan-seared Sablefish ($39) Same as my 2018 order (meh). Two tasty fried meatballs, but oversalted sauce. Skip next time. 💡 Pro Tips: • Weekend Brunch = 2 courses (72) or 3 courses (79) with 2 cocktails—way better value! • Service shines: Staff greet you by name after check-in. • Lush greenery fills the space—ideal for solo or group dining. 📍 Botanist Level 2, Fairmont Hotel, 1038 Canada Pl, Vancouver Solo diners: What’s your go-to splurge meal?
