Halifax โ Sydney Picked up rental car at Sydney Airport ๐ Low Point Lighthouse: Felt like standing at the edge of the world ๐๐ Flavor on the Water: Best seafood chowder of the trip! ๐ฅฃ๐ ๐ฐ Louisbourg Fortress (Highlight!) Time-traveled to the 18th century โณ๐ญ Ate old-fashioned baked bread ๐ฅ (must-try!) Staff in period costumes acted like real-life NPCsโso immersive! ๐ฎ Ticket: ~$10 | Can easily spend half a day here! ๐ฟ Cape Breton Scenic Drive Meat Cove: Rain ruined our hike, but the views were still breathtaking ๐ง๏ธ๐๏ธ (Photos donโt do it justice!) Food Stops: ๐ฆ Clucking Hen: Amazing lobster roll & chowder (light, sweet broth)! ๐ โ Rusty Anchor: Skip the chowder, but their seafood wrap was decent. ๐๏ธ Halifax Downtown Maritime Museum of the Atlantic: Titanic exhibit was haunting โโค๏ธ Harbourfront Walk: Slow, salty, and serene ๐๐ถโ๏ธ Ferry Ride: $3 cash-only (ATM on-site with $3 fee) โด๏ธ Harbour Hopper Tour: $40-$60 (book ahead!) ๐๐ฆ ๐ฝ๏ธ Food Recs: 1๏ธโฃ The Bicycle Thief Seafood Platter (off-menu!): Lobster, oysters, mussels (some were funkyโavoid those), shrimp. Pasta = oily but umami-packed!
