🇨🇦 Nova Scotia Road Trip Diary
After returning from Peggy’s Cove & Lunenburg, we kept it simple: Halifax sightseeing + a drive to Baddeck (prepping for Cape Breton!). 🌿 Halifax Highlights 1️⃣ Public Gardens (Free after June 20!) Emerald-green lawns, Victorian fountains, and live music—a morning well spent. Bonus: A guitarist serenading visitors under century-old trees. 🎸 2️⃣ Halifax Citadel (Also free!) The city’s historic heart (great for military buffs). Kids were bored, so we skimmed it. 😅 🍦 COWS Ice Cream Meh flavors (PEI’s original), but their merch is hilarious (more in my PEI post!). 🌊 Waterfront Chaos Saturday = packed! Free bouncy castles + pirate ships for kids (sunburn alert! ☀️). Spotted the Bluenose schooner (en route to Toronto)—missed it in Lunenburg! Regret: Skipping the Harbour Hopper (amphibious tour vehicle—next time!). 🛖 Baddeck Stopover Stay: Silverdart Lodge (hilltop retreat—perfect for golf/fishing). 4.5/5: Loud (bar vibe) but delicious ($$$—$170 for 3 with tip). Local secret: Bell’s summer home (of telephone fame)—museums close early! #CanadaRoadTrip #FamilyTravel #NovaScotia #TravelWithKids
