🇨🇦 Solo Trip to Winnipeg for 3 Days ❤️
It’s time for my annual solo trip again! Day 1️⃣ 📍Exchange District Just a 5-minute walk from my hotel to the historic district. This area is full of buildings with rich historical charm. I wandered around, stopped here and there, and took lots of photos.❤️ Day 2️⃣ The attractions are about 2–3 km apart. I explored entirely on foot—walked 10 km in one day!🎶 📍Manitoba Legislative Building Construction began in 1913, finished in 1919, and opened in 1920. It’s still used for legislative assemblies and citizenship ceremonies today. Free guided tours are available with explanations.👍 At the top of the dome stands the famous "Golden Boy," a 5.25-meter-tall statue covered in 24K gold, inspired by Hermes from Greek mythology. 📍Canadian Museum for Human Rights The Human Rights Museum stands 7 stories tall. It’s one of Winnipeg’s landmarks, opened in 2014.😘 Exhibits cover the history of human rights and share stories from the past. Visitors can also leave their thoughts about life. What captivated me more was the architectural style—the staircases and pathways feel like works of art. 📍Saint Boniface Cathedral This church has faced many challenges. Established in 1818, it was burned down in 1860.🤣 Rebuilt in 1862, it suffered another fire in 1906, leaving only the façade and walls intact. It’s one of the most unique churches I’ve seen, with a massive wall featuring a large hollow circle. 📍The Forks Market A small market hub where local agricultural products, bread, snacks, and more come together. Perfect place to grab a bite and relax after exploring.😍 Day 3️⃣ 📍Clementine Cafe Their Fried Chicken Waffle is delicious! The fried chicken is tender and juicy, and the waffle underneath is soft and fluffy. The portion is quite generous.😁 📍Toad Hall Toys Inc. An old-school toy store with some fun and vintage little toys. Before coming to Winnipeg, many people wondered what there was to do here.🤣 But I’ve always been contrary—I wanted to see if I could find fun in the so-called "boredom." Every solo trip allows me to reflect and have a deep conversation with myself. The human body replaces all its cells every 7 years. In other words, the person I am today is not the same as I was 7 years ago. So it’s understandable that people and things change.💕 I used to dislike traveling alone, but now I prefer going to some places by myself. I used to not drink coffee at all, but now I can’t work without it.👌 I used to love having my phone constantly buzzing with notifications, but now I just want to turn it off or mute it the moment I get home. The feeling of doing what you want is amazing, but what I want even more is the confidence to say no when I don’t want to do something. #Winnipeg #WinnipegTravel #TravelGuide #SoloTravel #ISTJ #YOLO #FYP #WinnipegEats #WeekendInWinnipeg ✨📸🇨🇦
