🇨🇦 Toronto’s Hidden New French Bistro! 🥖🍷

Bet many of you haven’t noticed this gorgeous French bakery at the Ossington & Dundas intersection! By day, it’s a café selling house-made sandwiches. But recently, owner Presti teamed up with his old friend and French culinary chef Challet to transform it into a fragrant bistro after 5 PM! Still flying under the radar, but word is spreading fast. On Reddit, someone said: “This place is amazing — try everything on the menu before they raise prices!” 🚀 The wine list features both French and Niagara wines. Glasses range from $12–14 — very reasonable. The menu is small but mighty: just 9 dishes, each carefully crafted by the chef. Many are modern twists you won’t find elsewhere. 🦆 Duck Confit Parmentier Think shredded confit duck layered over cheesy potato mash, served with apple, pear, and black garlic. Mix everything together — the flavors are surprising and delicious! The duck is rich, with a hint of black truffle. 🍗 Organic Chicken Tournedos, $24 So tender! Chicken wrapped in black trumpet mushroom sauce, topped with two pieces of foie gras. Real foie gras — delicate, melt-in-your-mouth. It brings all the umami and saltiness to the dish. Incredibly fresh! According to the manager, the most popular dishes are actually the Braised Beef (slow-cooked for 4 hours), Steak Tartare (uniquely plated here!), and Lobster Bisque… Ended with peach crème brûlée and lemon tart — sweet, tangy, and perfectly satisfying! 📍La Boulangerie 1134 Dundas St W, Toronto #TorontoFood #FrenchCuisine
