🇨🇦 Toronto's Most Insanely Good Italian Restaurant

If you’re in Toronto and see this post — you’re in for a treat! This might be the most hidden gem of an Italian restaurant I’ve ever discovered. It was totally worth the long trip — I was deeply moved (again!) by how much magic lies tucked away in a neighborhood like this. Located way west on Dupont, surrounded entirely by houses — you’d never expect it. 📍Annette Food Market 240 Annette St, Toronto Despite the name, it’s not a market — it’s a fire-oven Italian restaurant! 🔥 The crowd was mostly middle-aged or older white folks — my guess? They’ve got Italian roots 🇮🇹 The pizzas are kneaded and baked right in front of you — so satisfying to watch! 14 types of pizza — you can’t go wrong with any. I saw over 8 pizzas being made: potato pizza, fried eggplant pizza, Carbonara cream pizza, prosciutto pizza… and the one I ordered: Hot Honey & Salumi Pizza 🍯🍖 The crust is just 1cm thin — all about the toppings! The edge was chewy and soft — now #1 on my best pizza crust list! 🏆 Another must-order: Short Rib This dish is LEGENDARY! 🥩 Marinated bone-in beef short ribs are cooked right in the wood-fired oven with the pizzas, then served with rapini. Came out sizzling — huge portion, melt-in-your-mouth tender. $39? Insanely good value! Their pasta also looked amazing… but no room left 🥹 Desserts are only $9! Ended with tiramisu — delicious ~ and the gooseberry on top was adorable 🍓 #TorontoFood #ItalianCuisine #HiddenGem
