🇨🇦 Toronto's OG Italian Spot - Cafe Oro di Napoli 🍝✨

📍 75 Jarvis St, Toronto This vintage gem lives up to the hype! Packed with silver-haired regulars (always a good sign). Open kitchen smells divine—not overpowering. Tables are nicely spaced too. 🍴 What We Tried: 🧆 Arancini My first time! Crispy breaded risotto balls with asparagus & mild cheese—more earthy than cheesy. 🦑 Calamari Alla Griglia 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Game-changer. Grilled squid stuffed with tomato-onion-olive mix—char bitterness? Gone. Just umami fireworks! 🍚 Frutti Di Mare Risotto Rich red sauce + fresh shellfish (shrimp, mussels, clams, scallops). But... sandy surprise 🏖️😅 🍝 Pappardelle Osso Buco Friend’s pick. Wide noodles needed thicker sauce—felt a bit bare. 🍨 Affogato & Gelato Gelato = meh (no nonna love). Affogato = espresso heaven (I’d bathe in it). 💰 Shockingly reasonable: ~$60/person after tax/tip. We waddled out with doggy bags for round two! 🥡 #TorontoEats #OldSchoolItalian #HiddenGem #PastaLover #FoodieFinds
