🇨🇦 Toronto · Hit or Miss Attractions Around the City

✅ HIT LIST ✅ 1️⃣ African Lion Safari 🦁 A drive-through wildlife park where you can see lions, monkeys, giraffes, and hippos up close! Several zones to explore slowly by car. Open seasonally (May to September). 🚗🐾 2️⃣ Trillium Park 🌅 One of the few lakeside parks in downtown Toronto with a great view of the CN Tower. Perfect for a relaxing stroll by the water on a nice day. 🌊 3️⃣ Niagara Glen Trail 🥾 Easy parking (reasonable fees), less crowded, and beautiful scenery. One of the few trails in flat Ontario that offers a real hiking experience with rewarding views. 🏞️ ❌ MISS LIST ❌ 1️⃣ Grotto/Tobermory 🚫 Overhyped and overcrowded—smaller than a 400m track. Parking fees are charged per person per time slot (e.g., 2 people + afternoon = double price). Limited to 4-hour slots. Plus, it’s a 30-minute walk from the parking lot to the actual site. Not worth it! 😤 2️⃣ Booth's Rock Trail 🍁 Located in Algonquin Park, this fall foliage trail requires parking permits booked 5 days in advance at 7 AM sharp. The climb is long and underwhelming. Some beaches in the park are packed with loud BBQ parties—feels like New Delhi on a weekend. 🎪🔥 ⚪️ MEH LIST ⚪️ 1️⃣ Ottawa 🏛️ Downtown is tiny—explored in 5 minutes. Won’t be returning. 2️⃣ R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant 📸 Overrated photo spot. The “beach” is sandy and bland, and the plant itself is only okay from a distance. 3️⃣ Lakeview Park Beach 🏖️ Located in Oshawa next to a power/water treatment plant. The sand is dull yellow, and the water isn’t clean. Not picnic-friendly despite the name. 4️⃣ Sarnia 🏘️ A generic small town with an underwhelming beach. Nothing special. 5️⃣ Scarborough Bluffs Park 🌄 Nice at first, but summer visits come with strong smells and loud music—not exactly peaceful. 6️⃣ Niagara Falls 🌊 The falls are impressive, but the area is extremely crowded—like rush hour in an Asian metro system. Worth a one-time visit if you’ve never been. #TorontoTravel #TorontoAttractions #OntarioTravel #ExploreOntario #TorontoFoodAndFun 🌍🇨🇦
