🇨🇦 Toronto Hiking Buddy | Fire Tower Trail
🧗♀️【Restoule Fire Tower Trail · A Hiker’s “Coward” Diary】 Drove 4 hours from Toronto to tackle the legendary Fire Tower Trail—4.5 km with 184 m elevation gain. Sounded like a gentle princess route… until I almost met my demise on the cliffs. 😅 🍃 The first half felt like an enchanted forest: moss, mushrooms, and fallen leaves everywhere, like stepping into a Hobbit garden. The trail was suspiciously clean for something Canadian—not a single rogue branch tried to trip me. 🪨 The second half? Pure survival mode. Climbing rocks, jumping over roots, half-squat-sprinting my way up. When I reached the cliff section, I literally kneeled down—hugged a boulder for a photo like I was begging for mercy, all while forcing a “look how brave I am” smile. 🙃 📸 But that lake view at the top? Absolutely worth it. Whether you’re here to relax, take selfies, or question your life choices—you’ll stand there silently for three seconds, then frantically take 360-degree photos (even with shaky hands). 🍄 The trail was also dotted with mushrooms—like a forest gacha game. So many colors, most looking highly poisonous, yet you can’t help admiring each one. Felt like attending a mushroom selection ceremony in the royal harem. 🍄👑 🧍♀️ Went with family this time—no noisy buddies forcing me to take photos. Peaceful like a forest meditation retreat… except no one was there to pull me back from the cliff’s edge. ⛺️ This was just part of a camping trip. Slept in a tent at Restoule Provincial Park—listening to insects and wind, hoping mosquitos wouldn’t carry me away. 🏕️🌙 #Toronto #CanadianLife #HikingBuddy
